Mifland Leather Goods is an American-based mixed-accessory goods company with a modern utilitarian approach. Through founder and brand director Tobi Egberongbe’s previous experiences and affinity to design, photography, architecture, and contemporary furniture, a brand was created. Mifland was formed with these ideals and rhetoric in mind. All pieces are designed with form and function as the most important requirement. The collections are defined by Miflands signature architectural inspired bold design and attention to detail, with an emphasis on durability and an unique use of colors and heavyweight leather. The Mifland collections cover men’s and women’s  small and large accessories. Mifland is based within a studio warehouse building in Atlanta, Georgia. Along this journey it has often been necessary to look back in order to continue creating, we believe this is the most authentic way to stay consistent and grow.

HANDMADE: // PROCESS

Like most vintage collectors & enthusiasts we would often try and understand the story and journey of these leather goods as they develop a natural patina. Every rucksack is already unique as they are all handmade, but grow more in uniqueness with more daily wear. Mifland we use several assortments of raw leather that range from 3 ounces to 7 sourced between Atlanta, Georgia and New York. Most pieces are cut and assembled by hand, which translates to a uniqueness specific to the leather used. There are many ways to hand-stitch together leather, but we have found the “figure eight” stitch most effective and has become a signature at MIFLAND . The figure eight method is a method that involves heavy-duty waxed thread and a back and forth stitch. This combination of material and process ensures durability and ruggedness.
