Supa Star Six | Who the hell is Supa Star Six and why do people call him Legendary? Known by many yet still unheard of by most, Supa Star Six is a prolific singer-songwriter and music producer from a rural town in southern Georgia. Formally known as Star Six Nine, the 6 foot 9 rap singer broke into the music industry in the early 2000s when he was discovered by an A&R rep from Body Head Entertainment. A label founded by pro boxer Roy Jones Jr. Shortly afterwards, he moved to New York to assist with the development of then startup label Voicez Music Group in partnership with Def Jam recordings.

After hearing his production and scratch vocals on demos, Ceo Ronald Butch Lewis decided to pitch Six to LA Reid and Jay Z as an artist. As word started to spread about this kid from south GA who could rap, sing, and make his own beats, more labels started to gain interest. In February of 2006, Six ended up landing the Unsigned Hype column in The Source Magazine, and later appeared in Hip Hop Weekly in 2007. After choosing not to sign right away he continued to hone his craft as writer/producer and independent artist. He released a mixtape, “I’m Tha Underdog” which did well regionally.

After two national publications and selling 10,000 copies out of the trunk of his car, Six hooked up with concert promoter Ricardo Cruz. This connection put him on stages with the likes of Rick Ross, 50 Cent, TI, Trina, Lil Wayne, Shawty Lo, Ludacris and many others. While on tour he connected with legendary rapper Mr. Magic and produced what would be considered the anthem for hurricane Katrina victims/survivors “Gulf Coast Riders”. He went on to produce for artist on labels such as Def Jam, Atlantic, Jive Records, RCA, and many more. In 2012 he launched his own independent label and released his first official album “T.B.T.E.D.I” (The Best That Ever Done It). After having mild success with that he ventured off into film and television, scoring background music for various shows. While this paid the bills “it wasn’t fulfilling” said Six during an interview. “I MISS THE STAGE” “I need to be back out there!!” After many years of small wins, failures and setbacks, Supa Star Six is prepared to show the world why he’s MR.LEGENDARY!!
