Botanica Lilith | Driven by a profound ancestral yearning to spread the knowledge of food sovereignty, holistic medicine, and the transformational power of herbs and roots, Jetzi founded Botanica Lilith in the summer of 2020. Her identity as an Afro-Latinx woman informs her spiritual and organizational initiatives, directing her to empower and nourish her community through healing and preservation.
Jetzi has given multiple workshops on subjects ranging from photography and mental health to liberation and spiritual protection. Jetzi has a broad skill set and a strong desire to express herself creatively. In order to assist others on their journeys, she provides spiritual consultations at Sideshow Gallery that incorporate cartomancy, astrology, and intuitive assistance. She has been a psychic medium and tarot reader since 2017.
Jetzi started her career in Chicago, where she developed a distinct viewpoint that drives her varied work. With more than fifteen years of expertise, she is a seasoned photographer who has captured the soul of several performers, such as Cardi B, M.I.A., and Ivy Queen. Her extensive production and project management experience, along with her degrees in Political Science and Photography from DePaul University and Parsons School of Design, have prepared her to work with some of the most significant people of our time in Chicago and New York City. Her CV contains collaborations with iconic artists like visual storyteller Elise Swopes and DJ Venus X.
Inspired by her grandmothers, Trinity and Raquel, who created the garden behind her parents’ house, Jetzi is rooted in her family’s tradition. A beloved rosebush among the flowers is still flourishing, acting as a moving representation of ancestors’ blessings and the source of some of Botanica Lilith’s best-loved goods. Jetzi creates a variety of products for her store, such as anointing oils, fixed candles, and carefully chosen kits, using these locally cultivated flowers and herbs.
In addition to her business endeavors, Jetzi is committed to empowering and involving the community. She plans events through Lilith’s Side that highlight community service, spiritual wellness, and local artists.
