What inspired the development of our brand was a common passion for fragrance, profoundly based in the powerful experiences they elicit.
We saw a deficit in the industry—a lack of diversity and inclusivity.

As a black male-owned firm, we went on this quest to redefine scent standards, challenging the traditional gender assignments and embracing a more inclusive approach. Our initial collection of perfumes aspires not only to captivate senses but also to destroy obsolete stereotypes, encouraging everyone to engage in the beauty of scent without limits.

86 West’s Brand Name & Why We’re Unique
86 West, is a mix of our drive to make a memorable impact and our roots in the Midwest. Both my partner, Mike, and I developed our collaboration in Nebraska, a distinctive aspect of the Midwest. Drawing inspiration from the historical word “Midwest,” and Nebraska being an addition and debatably coined around 1886, we crafted a moniker that pays honor to our heritage while sticking out in the crowd.
