Founded by Kemet Coleman, Woodie Bonds Jr., and Elliott Ivory, Vine Street Brewing Co. opened in June 2023 and proudly holds the title of the first Black-owned brewery in Missouri.
Located in the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District of Kansas City, their mission is to create and share craft beers that reflect the unique cultures and communities that inspire them.

The brewery is situated in a 150-year-old building that once housed the city’s Street Department, and they intentionally incorporated some of the building’s graffiti into the design, bridging the past and present.
