How It Started: Laying the Foundation

1996: The firm’s journey began with the founding of Siebert Brandford Shank & Co., LLC. This groundbreaking partnership included the late Muriel Siebert—the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange and the first woman Superintendent of Banking for New York State—alongside Napoleon Brandford III and Suzanne Shank.
2016: The firm formally became Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co., L.L.C. with the addition of the Hon. Henry Cisneros. A pivotal figure, Mr. Cisneros was the first Latino mayor of San Antonio, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and former President and COO of Univision. This expansion also welcomed additional shareholders, including Hon. William C. Thompson, Sean Duffy, and Gary Hall.
2019: The Historic Merger In November 2019, Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co., L.L.C. merged with The Williams Capital Group LP, led by Chairman and CEO Christopher Williams.
