“I founded inu as a result of a bad encounter I had with my mother and younger sister, in which we were subjected to abuse by a restaurant owner based only on the color of our skin.
“I looked into the matter further because our experience didn’t align with the restaurant’s 4.2/5 Google rating. I found that most of the one-star evaluations for the restaurant were written by Black and Brown individuals who had experienced similar harassment.
Then it dawned on me: “People whose profiles are comparable to most of those who are reviewing find the most value in average rating ratings on websites like Yelp, Google Reviews, and Blackownedelite.com. This indicates that the larger picture in the UK is seen through the perspective of white people. And a closer examination is required if you don’t match that description.
