At the Black Owned Elite, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and professional environment for both our vendors and users. To ensure a high standard of quality, transparency, and fairness, we have established the following directory policies.


Vendor Eligibility and Application Process

Brand Qualifications

To be featured in our directory, a brand must meet our specific eligibility criteria. This includes, but is not limited to, being a legally registered business and providing high-quality, professional product or service descriptions and images. All brands must comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations.

Content and Category Accuracy

Vendors are responsible for submitting accurate, truthful, and non-deceptive information. We reserve the right to remove any brand that violates these content standards. During the application process, it is essential that you select the correct brand type and category. We provide clear descriptions to help you make the right choice. If you are unsure which category your brand fits into, please contact our team for guidance before submitting your application, as a listing in the wrong category does not qualify for a refund.


Brand Evaluation and Listing

Evaluation Process and Timeline

All new brand applications undergo a thorough evaluation and verification process. We aim to provide a decision within 30 days of your application date. Our team carefully assesses each brand based on factors like originality, consistent social media presence, market relevance, and product quality.

Feedback and Reapplication

If your brand does not meet our current induction criteria, we will provide constructive feedback to help you make necessary adjustments. You are welcome to reapply, but please wait until the next evaluation cycle to submit a new application.

Directory Listing and Vendor Portal

Once your brand is approved, it will be officially listed and visible to users in the directory. Your profile will be customized using the information you provided in your application, so please be as detailed as possible. While your listing is pending activation, you can still access all the features included with your plan through your vendor portal. Simply log in to your account at www.blackownedelite.com to access your dashboard and manage your membership.


Subscription and Refund Policies

Non-Refundable Subscription Fees

Please be aware that all subscription fees are non-refundable after seven calendar days from the initial charge or renewal date. This policy applies to both monthly and annual plans and is in effect regardless of platform usage, application status, or account activity. This includes fees for incorrect category selections, duplicate submissions, or failure to follow application guidelines.

Extended Wait Time Refund

In the rare event that our brand evaluation process extends beyond 30 days from your application date, you will be eligible for a full refund of your first month’s subscription fee, excluding the directory setup fee. We will notify you if your application is affected by an extended wait time due to high volume.


Vendor Responsibilities and Conduct

Accurate and Up-to-Date Information

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted for their listing remains accurate and current. Please notify us of any changes to your brand, products, services, or pricing to avoid your listing becoming outdated. Listings with inaccurate or outdated information may be subject to removal.

Cancellations and Disputes

You have full control over your subscription. You can easily view, manage, or cancel your membership at any time through the “Subscriptions” section in your account. If you believe you have not received the services outlined in your plan, please contact our support team to submit a service dispute. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in immediate and permanent removal from our platform.


Prohibited Items Policy

To maintain a safe and positive environment that aligns with our core values, the following items and services are strictly prohibited from being sold on our platform:

  • Explicit Material: This includes pornography, suggestive clothing, and other sexually exploitative or immoral content.
  • Spiritually Contradictory Items: We do not allow items that promote occult practices, witchcraft, blasphemy, idolatry, or anything that contradicts Christian principles. This includes, but is not limited to, tarot cards, astrology products, crystals for spiritual use, and materials related to the “Law of Attraction.”
  • Harmful and Illegal Products: This covers illegal substances, products promoting violence, hate-filled or divisive materials, and items that encourage harmful behaviors.
  • Offensive Content: Any product or service containing profanity, offensive language, or graphic media is strictly prohibited.
